Paradise Harbor

Cruising overnight from Half Moon Island we excitedly arrived at our next stop: Paradise Harbor, where Chile's Gonzalez Videla station is manned during the summer months. This is where we actually stepped onto the Antarctic Peninsula, our seventh continent! The station is home to a large rookery of Gentoo penguins. Paradise Harbor is truly outstanding, surrounded by hanging ice cliffs which regularly calve into the water producing icebergs of various sizes.
